Top 10 Church Websites

Yeah... after the Keith Richards post, I thought this was a refreshing little tidbit.

TutorialBlog has just posted a list of the Top 10 Church Websites - based on design and standards compliancy, of course. The editor noticed, coincidentally that it seemed that church and religious oriented websites tended to be extremely clean and compliant; conclusion is that these groups are trying so hard to promote their message that they are really getting their hands in the dirt - which is a GREAT thing!

I think the Internet is one of the most powerful tools available today - not only to religious groups and technology nuts - for getting your message across to a wide range of people in places we'd never have dreamed of reaching 20 years ago. I think this is especially awesome for churches and religious affiliations, that they are taking advantage of the rich possibilities the Internet has to offer them.

My faves are Revolution Church Kansas City, Soul Purpose, and Generation Church. What an AWESOME way to bring the youth and the tech culture into the fold! Keep doin' what you're doin' - it totally rocks to see the way churches have begun to evolve into an environment that appeals to today's families and all walks of life. And Kudos to the editor over at TutorialBlog for taking the time out to recognize this often overlooked niche of the 'Net! AMEN!
